ATMOSYNTH in your DAW

A VST3 plugin that opens and plays ATMOSYNTH patches inside a DAW such as Ableton Live.

Browse the patches published here from inside the plugin, open one, and play it from a MIDI track like any other instrument. A patch's sequencers follow the DAW's transport: they start and stop with it and keep its tempo.

The latest version is 0.1.0, released on 2026-10-01.

Requirements

macOS 12 Monterey or later, on a Mac with Apple Silicon.

Installing

  1. Unzip the archive.
  2. Copy ATMOSYNTH.vst3 into ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, creating the folder if it is not there.
  3. The plugin is not signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS keeps it in quarantine and will not load it. Release it from quarantine in Terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ATMOSYNTH.vst3
  4. Restart your DAW, or have it rescan its plugins.

Requirements

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime. Windows 11 ships with it and Windows 10 usually has it already; where it does not, it is a free download from Microsoft.

Installing

  1. Unzip the archive.
  2. Copy ATMOSYNTH.vst3 into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Windows asks for an administrator's permission to write there.
  3. The plugin is not signed, so Windows may warn that it comes from an unknown publisher. If it has blocked the archive, open the archive's Properties and tick Unblock before unzipping it.
  4. Restart your DAW, or have it rescan its plugins.

What it sends

Nothing about you. The plugin asks atmosynth.at for the list of patches, for the patches you open and for the samples and pictures they name, and for nothing else. It has no account to sign in to and sends no identifier, and nothing about how or what you play leaves your computer.
