About ATMOSYNTH

ATMOSYNTH is a place to create and publish synth patches, play them in your browser, and fork anyone else's. A patch is a small instrument built from modules — oscillators, envelopes, filters — wired together and shaped until it sounds like something you want to play.

Every patch on ATMOSYNTH is playable straight from its page, with the keyboard at the bottom of the screen or a MIDI keyboard you have plugged in. Nothing to install, nothing to download. If you like what someone made, you can fork it and make it yours.

Your patches belong to you. ATMOSYNTH is built on the ATmosphere network, which means every patch, module and sample you make is stored in your own account — your personal data server — and not on ours. We read it to show it to people; we do not hold it. If you take your account elsewhere, your work goes with you.

Browsing and playing are open to everyone, with no account and no sign-in. You need an ATmosphere account only to create, edit or fork a patch — because those actions write to your account, which only you can do.
