Reference Brass

by @atmosynth.at

The big detuned-saw brass of the early-eighties polysynths, from default modules only. Two sawtooths thirteen cents apart and a third an octave up, through a filter at the steeper slope that an envelope opens on every chord — the bite at the front of each stab is that envelope, not the tone. A slow chorus behind it, shared, so it is one chorus for the patch rather than one per key.

Play

Sound starts when you first play a note — nothing sounds before you ask it to. Use the keyboard at the bottom of the screen, your computer keyboard, or a MIDI keyboard you have plugged in.

How these fit together is not shown here. Fork the patch to open it in the editor and see for yourself.
