One number, as a signal to patch anywhere: a knob on a controller, brought onto the canvas. Bind a MIDI control to Value in its panel — Learn, and turn the knob you mean — and wire Out into any modulation input: the knob then opens a filter, deepens a vibrato or pushes a drive, and how far it reaches is set where it arrives, as with any other modulation here. At nothing it adds nothing, so a knob left down is a patch as it would be without it. It is the same number for every note, so a knob turned while a chord sounds moves every voice of it together. A setting a module already exposes can take a control of its own without this; the knob is for the inputs, which a control cannot reach any other way, and for one hand moving several of them at once.
